Jim Blane is a native of Roanoke, Virginia and a member of Myers Park United Methodist Church where he serves on the World Outreach Committee. He is a graduate of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and University of Virginia Law School. With more than thirty years in the practice of law, Jim brings valuable experience and knowledge to World of God. In 1999, he established a private law practice, James L. Blane, PLLC and he is certified as a Mediator in Superior and District Courts as well as a member of the Charlotte Estate Planning Council.

Jim has an extensive history of serving others in many capacities. He has been a Little League Coach, Sunday School teacher, Presbyterian and Baptist Deacon, Church Moderator, and Finance Committee Chairman. He has served as President of the Plaza-Midwood Neighborhood Association as well as appointments to municipal oversight committees. Jim has a heart for the poor of the world. He and his wife have hosted missionaries from around the world, and he has been active in missions in Liberia and Haiti. Jim has also gone on numerous mission trips to Russian, Liberia, Haiti, Brazil, and South Sudan. Jim and his wife, Janet, live in Charlotte and have two grown children.
